Privacy & Confidentiality Statement
Last updated: 25 July 2026 · Back to MyCognitiveProfile home
In short
- No account, sign-up, or login is ever required to use MyCognitiveProfile.
- Taking the assessment itself requires no personal information at all.
- If you purchase a report, Stripe collects your email address as part of processing payment; it’s used automatically to trigger your access code and report — no one at MyCognitiveProfile ever sees or handles it.
- Your assessment is protected by a private access code that only you (and your inbox) hold — we cannot look it up for you afterwards.
- Your answers are used once to generate your scoring results, then discarded.
- Only your scoring results (not your individual answers) are stored, and automatically deleted after 30 days.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, or third-party trackers anywhere on this site.
1. No accounts, no login, no identity required
MyCognitiveProfile is built so that you never have to tell us who you are. There is no registration form, no username or password, and no login area anywhere on this site. You can take the full assessment and retrieve your report without ever entering your name, email address, date of birth, or any other identifying detail.
2. What we collect — and what we don’t
Taking the assessment itself requires no information from you at all — no name, no email, nothing. If you go on to purchase a report, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your email address as a normal part of processing that payment (it’s how they issue a receipt). We reuse that same email once, to deliver your access code and report to you. We do not operate a separate sign-up or contact form of our own.
We do not ask for, collect, or store:
- Your name
- Your date of birth, address, or any other contact details
- Your IP address for tracking or profiling purposes
- Any account or login credentials, because none exist
- Any other information that could reasonably be used to identify you personally
Your email address, sourced from Stripe at checkout, is used solely to trigger automatic delivery of your access code and report. This happens programmatically — no one at MyCognitiveProfile views, accesses, or handles your email address at any point. It is not linked to your assessment answers or scoring results in any stored record beyond what’s needed to send that one email, and is not used for marketing, added to a mailing list, or shared with anyone else. See Sections 3 and 8 for more detail on how this works.
3. Your assessment access code
When you complete the assessment and purchase your report, the system generates a unique access code. This code — not your name — is how you (and only you) retrieve your report.
- The code and your report are sent automatically to the email address you provided to Stripe at checkout, and shown on-screen at that time as well.
- This delivery happens programmatically. No one at MyCognitiveProfile ever views, accesses, or handles your email address — the system uses it only to trigger the one automated message, then it is not retained anywhere we can see or search.
- Once that email has been sent, we have no practical way to look up your code or re-send it — if it’s lost, we cannot recover it, because we hold no accessible record linking an email address to a result.
- It is your responsibility to keep the email (or the code itself) somewhere safe. Anyone who has your code can view the associated report, so treat it the way you would a password.
- The free portion of the assessment, if taken without purchasing a report, generates no code and requires no email at all.
4. How your answers are handled during the assessment
While you’re taking the assessment, your individual question-by-question answers exist only long enough to be processed into your five trait scores. They are not written to a permanent database and are not retained after your report has been generated. What we retain afterwards is the scoring output tied to your access code — not your raw responses.
5. 30-day automatic deletion
Your stored scoring data — the results linked to your access code — is automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after your assessment is completed. This happens on a fixed schedule and does not require any action from you. After deletion, the report can no longer be retrieved by anyone, including us, using that code.
If you’d like to keep a copy of your results, we’d recommend downloading or saving your report before the 30-day window closes.
6. No cookies, no trackers, no analytics
This site does not set cookies, does not run third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or similar tools), and does not embed advertising or social media trackers. We do not build behavioural profiles of visitors, and there is no cross-site tracking of any kind. You should not see a cookie consent banner on this site, because there is nothing to consent to.
7. If you choose to contact us
If you voluntarily email us — for example with a question or a support request — we will hold that correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to you, and it is handled separately from the assessment system described above. Contacting us is entirely optional and is never required to use the site.
8. Payments (Stripe)
Payment for a report is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider — not by MyCognitiveProfile directly. Stripe collects the information it needs to process your payment and issue a receipt, including your email address, under its own privacy and security policies, and may use its own cookies or safeguards as required for fraud prevention and transaction processing. This is separate from, and not covered by, the no-cookies/no-tracking commitment above, which applies to the assessment itself. We do not receive or store your card details at any point. As described in Sections 2 and 3, the email address Stripe collects is used automatically, one time, to trigger delivery of your access code and report — no one at MyCognitiveProfile views or accesses it directly.
9. Security
Access codes are generated to be unique and difficult to guess, and stored data is limited to the minimum needed to produce your report. Because we hold no identifying information, a compromise of the scoring database would not expose your identity — only an anonymous score tied to a code, and only within the 30-day window before it is deleted.
10. Not a diagnostic tool
MyCognitiveProfile provides a screening and self-insight report, not a clinical diagnosis. This section is about privacy, not clinical scope, but we note it here because your results — being un-identified and self-held via your access code — are yours alone to share with a healthcare professional if you choose to.
11. Changes to this statement
If this policy changes — for example, if a new optional feature is introduced — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. We will not retroactively start collecting identifying data without clearly describing that change here first.
12. Contact
Questions about this statement can be sent to [insert contact email]. We do not require your name to respond.
